Reading 2014

Hi guys!! :D

Okay, so, 2013 is past, 2014 is here, and my reading slate is clean.

My goal for last year was 50 books, and I ended up reading a total of 57 books.

I will be doing a 2013 Reading Review video soon...maybe this Sunday :)

So, books for 2014.

Let's begin.

A rough sketch of the books I plan on reading this year looks like this:

5. (Third book in the Penryn and the End of Days series...after World After) by Susan Ee
6. The One by Kiera Cass; third and final book in The Selection trilogy. (coming out in May)
7. The Light Between Oceans by M. L. Stedman
8. The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan (FINAL BOOK IN THE Heroes of Olympus SERIES OH NO ;A;)
9. The 5th Lorien Legacies book...comes out in August...by Pittacus Lore.
10. The Harry Potter series (tentative) by J.K. Rowling
11. Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
12. Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare
13. Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare
14. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
15. Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell
16. Everybody Sees the Ants by A.S. King
17. Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi (and following books)
18. BZRK by Michael Grant (and following books)
19. Divided by Elsie Chapman (coming out May 27th, 2014)

My goal is to read another 50 books this year. I am not sure if that will happen, considering AP Exams, graduation, and college are coming, but hey, who knows!? I certainly didn't expect to read 57 books this past year! It kind of just happened.

BOOK REVIEW: THE DARKEST MINDS BY ALEXANDRA BRACKEN

I found a review on Goodreads that perfectly puts into words how I feel about this book. (Author: Mitch) (cuss words have been removed; points that I personally REALLY agreed with are in bold) On the surface, The Darkest Minds has a lot more going for it than your typical dystopian. It's incredibly dark and disturbing, but more than that, there's a certain realism to Alexandra Bracken's writing that makes the plot believable in a way few other books in the genre are. Review: Sylo by D.J. MacHale

So, Sylo by D.J. MacHale. This is the non-spoiler part. I will tell you when the spoiler part starts. The second book in the trilogy is set for release towards the end of March, so look for it! Awesome looking cover. Yup. The beginning was strange and frankly, it scared me a little because I was reading this late at night before going to sleep. The ending, like in the last 50 pages was like: Okay, that might be a bit of an overstatement. It wasn't a feelsplosion, it was just crazy plot twists. Yeah. Leave it to D.J. MacHale to make everything complicated. *cough cough Pendragon cough* My rating: Hmm... 8 /10 It was a good book. I was definitely pulled in and it keeps you guessing. ....................
