NerdMemories of 2013

Hey, guys! Sorry about the lack of posts on my part recently. Well, minus the two I put out last week or something. I just haven't had much time to even think about posting stuff. The holiday season (which in my agenda encompasses everything from Thanksgiving break to returning to school after Christmas break) this year was extremely busy for me. I'm back at school now, and as backwards as this sounds, I have more time to think about posts now! 

So I thought about this post. 

This post is basically going to be a huge list of all my nerdy favorites from 2013 (So basically nothing personally personal). I set some rules for myself, which are as follows:



Books started in 2013 and finished in '14 count as '13, not '14. 

Songs promoted to my favorites in '14 but released/discovered in '13 count as '14, and as such won't be featured here. Sorry, Frozen. 

Across all categories for books, no more than THREE characters can be used from each respective series, and no character can be used more than twice. 

Listing a book encompasses it's entire respective series. 

Re-reads don't count.

Anime that I started to watch in 2013 and are still airing (Hi, Kill la Kill) don't count. Neither do ones I've been watching forever (Hi, Naruto)

Anime I re-watched don't count (Hi, Fullmetal). 

Maximum THREE winners per category for everything.

BOOK REVIEW: THE DARKEST MINDS BY ALEXANDRA BRACKEN

I found a review on Goodreads that perfectly puts into words how I feel about this book. (Author: Mitch) (cuss words have been removed; points that I personally REALLY agreed with are in bold) On the surface, The Darkest Minds has a lot more going for it than your typical dystopian. Review: Sylo by D.J. MacHale

So, Sylo by D.J. MacHale. This is the non-spoiler part. I will tell you when the spoiler part starts. The second book in the trilogy is set for release towards the end of March, so look for it! Awesome looking cover. Yup. The beginning was strange and frankly, it scared me a little because I was reading this late at night before going to sleep. The ending, like in the last 50 pages was like: Okay, that might be a bit of an overstatement. It wasn't a feelsplosion, it was just crazy plot twists. Yeah. Leave it to D.J.
