Due to busyness, exhaustion, not being able to film, having camera problems (full memory card, low battery while trying to film), SLOW INTERNET, and other factors, I have not been able to upload some reviews/vlogs I have made and I have not been able to make a general vlog (update vlog) about what's going on in my reading sphere. So, I'm making an update blog. Because I'm currently trying to upload my Divergent movie review. And I gotta make this quick so the video will upload faster. SO. Today I finished reading Maybe One Day by Melissa Kantor. It was really sad. And that makes 16 out of 50 books read. Which puts me 5 books ahead of schedule. Which is totally fantastic. So, the big question? "Amanda, what are you reading next???" Drumroll, please... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... Alright, feels, here we go. ~Amanda

Review for Hollow City by Ransom Riggs, sequel to Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. I don't believe that I've done a review for Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children because I read it before I starting writing on this blog. My rating....okay, I can't quite put a rating to this book because it is just that different from anything I've read. This book was interesting and had plot twists and includes creepy, unedited photographs. I really do want the next book, though. Also, in all of the books I've ever read, this series has scared me the most. I would be reading it late at night when I was the only one awake and would be scared to go into the hallway and bathroom because it was dark. Books have never ever done that to me before. So, basically, Ransom Riggs has gone around the world and collected all these peculiar old photographs from people all over the place. He was going to publish just the photos, but with the suggestion by his pub

Review for the sequel to Partials. Spoilers present. My rating: 9 /10 So, I finished Fragments this morning before class. I was in shock from the last 50-60 pages or so, that I mumbling to myself, trying to figure out what the heck just happened. I have listed what I figured out/made sense of in the following. 1. Kira, Isolde, and Ariel are the newer models of Partials. As the newer models, they carry the Failsafe, that is capable of killing Partials, and thus, the humans. They do not have an expiration date, can grow and reproduce, and are apparently not detectable on the Link, but can sense others. 2. Cronus Vale was a part of the Trust. The president of the Trust activated the RM and Vale activated the cure. He is the leader of sorts to the Preserve, a place where a smaller group of humans live on the western side of the badlands, as I believe the Midwest is called. 3. Heron is a traitor. At first, she goes with Samm to help Kira, but gets impatient with the lack of r

I'd rather not make an entire vlog for this book XD I do not like Maggie Stiefvater's writing style. At. All. (Her writing is even worse in The Raven Boys books). I can't...put it into words. She unnecessarily describes things, and it throws me off...the way she uses metaphors and similes. I am jarred out of the book's world 99% of the time. The Scorpio Races was SLOW. It was 404 pages, and the first 300 pages were the same thing repeated OVER and OVER and OVER. It's like she saved the originality and good stuff and climax for the last 100 pages. The ending was actually very good, but the first 300 pages or so was just...repetitive and tedious. I love horses, so this book had me smiling at the horse scenes, but besides that, I did not like the two main characters. The book is told from the POV's (point of views) of Puck Connolly and Sean Kendrick. The book's description from Goodreads: "It happens at the start of every No

Hi guys! So today I finished Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver. On a scale of 100 points, I give it 97 out of 100 c: I take away those 3 points due to immense amounts of cussing and sex and stuff. (Note: there were no actual sex scenes, so that's awesome c: ) Besides that, it was AMAZING and very thought-provoking. I recommend it to fangirls and fanboys. SO FAR I have read a total of 11 books this year. Yup~ I COUNT TWELFTH NIGHT BECAUSE WE TOOK A TON OF TIME ON IT AND I READ THE WHOLE PLAY AND DESERVE CREDIT FOR THAT. Anyway. We will be reading The Old Man and the Sea and The Stranger in AP Lit soon...so two more books!! And I will be reading "Tiger Lily" and other books on my own time c: I reviewed Eleanor & Park as well as Before I Fall today. The reviews are being uploaded. I will review Disneylanders tomorrow c: Byes! ~Amanda

Review for Partials by Dan Wells. Spoilers present. My rating: 9 / 10 So, Partials. I just finished the 468 page book. Oh my gosh. It kept me guessing even though I had my own slight suspicions. Kira. I liked her, although she was stubborn at times. She ended up being right in the end, and always fought to prove it to the people who didn't believe her. I liked that about her. Okay, but towards the end of the book, when she gets shot in the hospital, she tells Jayden that she's shot and can't walk. Seriously? Jayden went to help you out because you couldn't walk a few feet and he was killed. Nice one. And she's a Partial but she didn't know she was a Partial and she doesn't breathe out the Lurker/pheromone, so I guess she is a partial Partial. Marcus. At the beginning, Marcus and Kira was cute and all, but then he was constantly throwing around his marriage proposal. Stop it. It doesn't mean that much if you keep casually asking Kir
